Church Street

On this corner, there are three churches. It’s the corner of something I don’t recall and Church Street. There are a number of churches on Church street and I can’t decide if they just plunked a slew of churches in the same spot, then named the street, or if they named the street first or decided hey! It’s Church Street! Let’s just put a whole bunch, like… a cluster of churches right here. Yeah, that’ll be a grand idea.
I would like to think it was the latter, and that some city planner had a chuckle, saying: “We are so damn clever. Get it? Damn? Cause it’s Church Street? I kill me!”
